The school reflects on lesson plans and teacher-created assessments on a regular basis. Testing and assessment are an integral part of regular data digs.
The following strategies and curriculum pieces are used: Common Core Focus Strategies, Marzano's Strategies, CLIP, Gradual Release Model, Bloom's Taxonomy, and Project Based Learning
Extracurriculars: Football; boys and girls basketball; baseball; softball, volleyball; boys and girls track; boys and girls soccer; cheerleading; majorettes; boys and girls swimming; yearbook; band; honor society; student council; debate.
Gifted Education: Gifted class is offered on certain days of the week, the gifted teacher is mobile teacher who serves several students at several schools.
Special Education: All students in SPED classes receive instruction in a co-teaching setting and one-on-one with the SPED teacher.
Parent Involvement: Volunteerism; parent resource center; monthly data folder and event calendar sent home
