  • 2014 Value-Added Achievement Award and third best public school in the Memphis Metro Area, as named by the 2015 Niche Ratings.
  • This past summer, several teachers from Arlington Elementary and Donelson Elementary Schools attended Project Lead the Way Training. Both schools will be implementing the ├??Energy: Conversion├?? module into their fourth and fifth grade curriculum. This module is hands-on and is project-based. It requires students to design a system that is able to store energy and then convert the energy to a usable form as it is released. Kits were purchased for each school to use with the module.
  • ACS will also hold its first annual Science Fair in January that requires students to use the scientific method or the engineering design process when completing their project.

  • Parent Involvement: Each year, Donelson has reached over 100% of its annual PTA membership goal, signifying that parental involvement helps DES to be the best it can be. Parents help out in many different ways at Donelson through our many PTA sponsored events, as well as other activities planned by the school.
