  • Literature integrated across the content areas to support TN instructional standards.
  • Critical and higher level thinking skills utilized as students collaborate in cooperative groups during lessons. Differentiated instructional groups for enrichment and remediation.
  • Provides programming in conjunction with the Memphis Arts Council, Opera Memphis, Germantown Performing Arts Center, Well Child. Our adopters (Making It Happen Foundation, Greater Middle Baptist, Melvin Jones Foundation, Breath of Life SDA church) support special programming for our students.
  • Focus on development of whole child via character education programming for students and families. Evans Elementary School cultivates the academic, social and emotional development for all students in a safe and collaborative environment.
  • Extracurriculars: Book Clubs, Orff Strings program, Evans Choir, Let's Go Green Team, Behavior and Attendance Monthly Celebrations, After School Tutoring, American Girl Book Club, Charm School, Special celebrations activities to promote learning sponsored by the Making It Happen Foundation. Attendance rewards supported by the Making It Happen Foundation. Tutoring supported by Adopt-a-School partners Greater Middle Baptist Church and The Melvin Jones Foundation.
