Summer Programs: Fairley High School offers a two week summer bridge to all 9th grade students entering Fairley. Students are introduced to their teachers, classmates and opportunities to visit college campuses. Summer Bridge prepares incoming 9th graders for the fast paced changes that come along with high school. The Power Source Band also holds band camp during the summer to prepare students for the many athletic and marching band performances.
Uniform Required
ALSAC professionals mentor students weekly to develop strong social skills, strengthen academic skills and work on character development.
Band was overall grand champion at the 2014 Memphis Show Band Invitational Battle of the Bands.
After-school Program bridges the opportunity gap by creating transformational learning opportunities in the areas of Academics, Visual and Performing Arts, Life Skills and Employment, Civics and Community Service and Physical Activities and Nutrition.
Student Ambassadors are responsible for bolstering school spirit, leading community activities, serving as hosts to visitors and future Green Dot students, modeling schoolwide expectations for academics and conduct, and collaborating with school leaders to cultivate a safe school environment
The Leadership Club is a leadership-service club that works with students in the area of college readiness and access, and developing skills vital for school and life.
Extracurriculars: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Softball, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Band, After School Program, Student Ambassadors, Student Government, Leadership Memphis and National Honor Society
Special Education: Inclusion (students with disabilities are integrated into the school to the maximum extent possible). Functional skills classes are also offered. These students are developmentally delayed and are offered curriculum that appropriately suits their abilities.
Parent Involvement: Works with parents and families to address the issues they and their children face outside the classroom that can affect their learning and lives as a whole; hosts workshops on topics such as financial literacy, gang prevention, career development and crime prevention. Fairley students take part in Advisory, an intensive year-long college prep course. Through Advisory, students are introduced to FAFSA, college applications and assistance with scholarships. There are also school academic counselors available to assist students with enrolling in the proper coursework to meet the TN graduation requirements. They also assist students with college selection, financial aide and ACT prep.

Fairley High is a neighborhood school. Students living in the Whitehaven, Westwood and South Memphis communities are welcomed to enroll at Fairley High School.
Bus transportation provided for zoned students living outside the 1.5-mile Parental Responsibility Zone. We also offer a bus to students in South Memphis at Riverview Community Center and 1880 Prospect.
