Application Requirements: For 2017-18 Optional attendance - applicants should have As and Bs with no more than one C as a semester average on the most recent comprehensive report card, score at or above the 70th percentile on the total and composite Reading and Math NWEA MAP tests, and have satisfactory conduct and attendance with no more than 15 absences and/or tardies.

As a parent, I had the honor of bragging for the second year in a row about Germantown Middle School. The Administration, the Teachers. the Staff, and everyone else directly involved are some of the most caring, concerned, and wonderful people that I have meet. They make a very supportive and encouraging difference in every student's life while providing excellent education to each student. Besides learning the regular subjects, GMS offers so many other subjects, associated clubs, and various opportunities to learn new and exciting things. Next year will be my daughter's final year at GMS and I know that I will be bragging then. Not just about her but about what a great school Germantown Middle School is.

This school has fabulous teachers who really work with students individually to motivate them to succeed. The students in turn motivate each other - it is a great environment. Wonderful programs include the award-winning bands and choirs, both French and Spanish programs, and too many fun clubs to mention. Superior academics through the optional program, including STEM classes. Everyone is made to feel welcome. Very international - all students will feel at home, no matter what their origins. This is my 6th year (2 students x 3 years each), and I am sad that it is my last (although looking forward to my youngest advancing to high school.

It is nothing short of amazing what can be done with the support of Administration, Teachers and Parents! The moment you walk in the office, you know you are going to be part of something special. The concern that administration and teachers have for each and every student is refreshing. As a parent, the comfort in knowing that your child is receiving a "top notch" education is of the utmost importance. This is such a special school on so many levels!!!!
