  • Gifted Education: Personalized work plans, curriculum extensions, and independent research allow children of different ability levels to advance at their own pace in the same, inclusive environment.
  • Special Education: The school has multiple certified special education teachers; several paraprofessional aides; hands-on resources, mixed-age groupings, and individualized work plans allow children of different ability levels to advance at their own pace in the same, inclusive environment. Almost 18% of students have classified disabilities.
  • Parent Involvement: Family resource room with computers and parenting classes; Quarterly family enrichment events (cookout, literacy, math, nutrition); Chaperoning trips (botanic garden, museums, colleges); Other volunteer opportunities; Advocacy; Annual parent survey.

Enrollment Info

  • Anyone can apply online for free. Students from the zone are guaranteed admission. Students from other zones are admitted through a lottery conducted in the spring. Open seats are filled through the summer on a rolling basis.
