  • Memphis Scholars Florida-Kansas assumed operation of Florida-Kansas Elementary School in 2015 as an authorized charter school under the Achievement School District. MSFK is part of a network of neighborhood public charter schools that have done similar work in Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC, and Trenton, NJ.
  • Charter network has record of success in serving students in the transformation setting; flagship school "Young Scholars Charter School" is the 4th highest performing school in the city of Philadelphia; DC Scholars Stanton Elementary School was the recipient of several awards for teaching and leadership
  • Has a dedicated Manager of Interventions whose sole job is to ensure that struggling students are being identified and provided with the instructional support they need to improve by implementing the full RTI (Response to Intervention) model
  • Has a dedicated Director of Culture and Dean of Culture to ensure that the school climate is highly structured yet joyful
  • Will be partnering to provide full wrap-around services for students and families so that things like health and wellness are not barriers to learning
  • Extracurriculars: 2017-2018 offerings will be finalized in the summer/fall 2016 and may include dance, music, athletics, art, and other programming.
