Ridgeway's Freshman Academy houses more than 300 freshmen in the Annex and allows the school to closely monitor the transition from middle school to high school and instill academic strategies that will enable all students to experience success.

Students must be zoned to school or apply for transfer through Optional or General Choice Transfer Processes.
Application Requirements: For 2017-18 Optional attendance - Applicants must score at or above the 70th percentile on the total and composite Reading/Math NWEA MAP, TCAP, ACT, PSAT, or SAT and have As or Bs with no more than one C as a semester average in an academic subject. Applicant's report card must show satisfactory conduct and attendance, including no more than 15 absences and/or tardies. Enrollment in IB coursework is required.
