Fine arts classrooms are equipped with innovative technology and equipment; visual arts classroom has a darkroom for developing film and a kiln for making pottery; band room has 10 Wenger Practice Rooms and SmartMusic Technology, which enables students to learn to play over 15 different instruments
Students are encouraged to gain valuable leadership experience as members of the RMS Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, RMS Debate Team, or some of the 30 additional unique clubs that are aligned with the middle school concept

Application Requirements: For 2017-18 Optional attendance - Applicants must score at or above the 70th percentile on the total and composite Reading and Math NWEA MAP tests and have As and Bs with no more than one C as a semester average in an academic subject. Applicants must also have satisfactory conduct and attendance with no more than 15 absences or tardies.
