College preparatory curriculum focused on 21st century skills of communication, creativity, collaboration. Research-based early childhood program that develops core academic skills through hands-on, fun activities. Focus on early writing and communication.
The most recent parent survey indicates that 93% of parents report that their child feels safe and connected at school; 95% feel strongly that the SGIS experience is having a positive impact on their child; 93% report that their child is being well-prepared for college and beyond.
All fifth grade students prepare a speech on a character trait of their choice and deliver it to the entire student body during a morning chapel service.
Founded in the Episcopal tradition, students attend chapel services regularly. Ethical literacy, service learning, and an honor code round out the character education components.
St. George's Independent School offers a distinctive one school/three campus educational model that seeks to provide students with experiences in transformative diversity and has received attention from The New York Times, The Commercial Appeal, and the National Association of Independent Schools. Joint learning activities with students at St. George's Memphis campus begin in prekindergarten.
