Languages Offered: Mandarin Chinese; Considering our no longer domestic but global economy, we prepare our students to compete and thrive at the highest levels.
School Day: 8am – 3pm
Extended Care: 6:30am – 6pm
Summer Programs: STAR Academy is scheduled to be the host site for the Summer Slam Program which is sponsored and led by the Rising Together Foundation. Rising Together promotes high academic, leadership, and character standards and broadens peer relationships among students throughout the greater community. Designed to foster academic preparedness for a group of emerging academic and social leaders, the programs and events develop and connect future leaders of our community.
Technology in every classroom, computer lab, mobile computer lab
Extracurriculars: Pee Wee, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Basketball, Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheer Squad, Violin Ensemble, Honors Chorus, Music Education, Student Council (Officers Elected Annually), National Junior Beta Club
Gifted Education: STAR provides advanced enrichment for scholars that perform at the 90th percentile, including projects, activities, and life and cultural experiences.
Special Education: Full inclusion, speech/language pathology, additional services as needed due to IEP specifications.
Parent Involvement: PTO, 20 hours of parental involvement required per family, quarterly, parent report card grades, parent academy trainings, volunteers.
