  • Proud Parent of Westside StudentParent 11/03/2016
I am proud parent of a Westside Elementary student. The school has been recognized among the schools in the Shelby County School district for its academic excellence. In addition to this fact, there are other factors that make me proud to be a Westside Elementary parent. The administration and the teachers are supportive and very concerned about the students learning. The teachers are accessible for parent teacher conferences when needed. The school offers extracurricular activities for students to be a part of. Also, the administration works diligently to ensure the safety of every child. such as having anti-bullying assemblies. In my opinion, Westside Elementary is a hidden jewel, hidden away in an unlikely neighborhood.
  • Great Place to WorkTeacher/Staff 10/04/2016
I have worked at Westside Elementary School for the past 5 years, and I feel at home here. My co-workers and I are committed to the Frayser community. We are dedicated to student achievement and we strive daily to prepare students for the future.
  • The Pride of Frayser Parent 12/07/2015
Westside Elementary is one of the few schools in the Frayser area with the distinction of being a Reward School. The environment in friendly and students are well behaved and loved. Teachers believe in children first and work very hard for achievement to remain at a high level. With most area schools in Frayser either state run or threatened to be state run, Westside is a gem. You will not be disappointed. This school prepares students for any middle school in Memphis.
