  • We are a coed school for a coed world. The coed setting broadens a student's understanding of how things are viewed, interpreted and understood from various perspectives. Researchers with the American Council for Coeducational Schooling (ACCES) say that students should be taught to focus on school work in a coed setting, just as they will be expected to work in a coed environment.
  • Our Formative Five character education program helps students establish success skills that are fundamental to their success in school and in all aspects of life. The five success skills are: Empathy, Self-control, Integrity, Embracing diversity, and Grit.
  • Through dignity, respect, love and service, we have infinite opportunities to serve our students and community. Grounded in our Episcopal tradition, we are an intentionally inclusive school; we respect the dignity of each individual and believe that each person contributes to the strength of our community.
  • Our Preschool-8th configuration allows for meaningful partnerships between older and younger students and abundant leadership experiences in Middle School.
  • Graduating 8th graders are highly sought-after by high schools throughout the city, and enjoy academic success and attain leadership positions in athletics, service, performing arts, student government, and much more. They are known as kind-hearted, well-rounded students who make a difference in their high school communities!
  • Extracurriculars: Enrichment classes; Middle School theater productions; Middle School clubs; 5th-8th grade sports through school; JK-4th sports through church
  • Parent Involvement: GSL's strong parent community is one of the school's greatest assets, and every parent is a member of the Parents' Association. Our parents are engaged in working to support GSL's mission. The Parents Association sponsors a variety of fun events and fundraisers throughout the year. With the funds raised annually, the P.A. is able to purchase program and facility enhancements and fulfill faculty wish lists.

We have been so pleased with our decision to send our child to GSL. The Co-Ed environment prepares children for the modern world where men and women work together. We are so pleased our child can get this co-ed experience at a fantastic school supported by a fantastic community.
  • Great private schoolParent 02/23/2015
No other school around has the personal attention and sense of community that GSL has. We are proudly raising our two boys here and the only regret I have is not having attended myself.
  • Great school for my girls Parent 02/20/2015
