  • School is only for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities; offers an individualized educational plan for each student to maximize strengths and diminish challenges
  • Adult Program focuses on social skills, daily living skills, and job preparation; students participate in Work-Based Learning to ease the transition between school and work while reinforcing life and job skills; trainees gain useful, real job experiences that will allow them to utilize and apply their academic, social, and technical skills to authentic workplace situations.
  • Highly qualified staff includes nine licensed special education teachers, at least one special education assistant in each class, two full-time speech therapists, an occupational therapist, a creative movement specialist, yoga instructor, and music and art instructors.
  • Extracurriculars: Kaleidoscope Expressive Arts Program
  • Special Education: All students are enrolled in ungraded classes or "groups" with a small teacher to student ratio. Every student has an individualized educational plan that addresses all academic areas as well as social/behavior objectives and daily living skills. Students also participate in adaptive physical education, visual art, yoga, and Orff music.
  • Parent Involvement: School has an active PTA that is responsible for many events throughout the year.
