  • Teachers provide high quality instruction each and every day. With small classes, teachers are able to provide instruction that best fits their students so they can be successful in the classroom.
  • Oakhaven is a national ACT testing site. Students that attend can take their ACT in comfortable and familiar conditions. Students also have the opportunity to enroll in ACT Prep classes to address their deficiencies.
  • Students enrolled in Career and Technical Education classes will have the opportunity to receive the ACT WorkKeys Assessment. This assessment will certify that students are career ready once they leave high school.
  • Extracurriculars: ACT 20+ Club, Art Club, Choir, Color Guard, Dance Team, Drill Team, Distributive Education Club of America (DECA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Spanish Club, and VIP Club. Our students can also participate in the following sports: Football, Volleyball, Girls & Boys Varsity Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Girls & Boys Track, Cheerleading and Soccer. Students can also be a member of our band, a majorette or a flag girl.
  • Special Education: Functional Skills
  • Parent Involvement: Parents can be apart of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). This organization meets to discuss the needs of the student body and to help strengthen school and community relations.
  • Tours: Parents of upcoming 8th graders can visit our school during Freshmen Orientation sessions in April and June.
  • Ms. Myra Key, School Guidance Counselor, provides one on one post-secondary readiness trainings for students and parents. During these sessions, Ms. Key will address questions about the FAFSA, College Applications, Scholarships, ACT, ASVAB, etc.
