  • Great place to teach and work!Teacher/Staff 02/01/2015
I've been to a lot of schools in Shelby County, and I think that TSCS is hands down one of the best places for teachers to work. The school leadership is top notch. They work incredibly hard to allow all teachers to do what they want to do most - teach in a purposeful and meaningful way. The school culture is very focused on achievement and college preparedness but still allows enough curricular freedom for teachers to be creative with what the do in the classroom every day. The students are very bought into the concept of the school itself and it shows in their work. I will say that the work load isn't light - come prepared to give 100% from 7 am until 4:30 PM, and sometimes later. That said, the outcomes make it worth while. Even when you put in that extra time, you know that it will pay off in the end.
